Alternate Universe (often abbreviated as “AU”) is a descriptor used to characterize fanworks which change one or more elements of the source work’s canon. Broadly, an AU may transplant a given source work’s characters to a radically different setting, shift the genre in which their adventures occur, and/or alter one or more of their professions, goals, or backstories. ✴ What is Godmode: Enabled?

Imagine the gods never left.

They’re still here — living among us, walking the same streets, wearing hoodies and sneakers, sitting next to you on the train.
They don’t glow anymore. Not all the time. They have jobs, bad habits, group chats, and secrets. Some are trying to forget who they were. Others cling to it like armor. A few are just… figuring it out.

Godmode: Enabled is a modern mythology AU rooted in Greek mythology — no Norse, no Roman, no mashups. Just the messy, brilliant, chaotic immortals of Olympus trying to survive in the present day.
Some of them want to change. Some of them really, really don’t.

It’s about Hermes speedrunning his feelings, Apollo pretending he’s fine with a guitar in his lap, Artemis knocking things over and acting like she didn’t mean to, Dionysos being soft, strange, and sparkling — and others, gods and non-gods alike, who are lost in the in-between.

The myths are still happening.
They just look a little different now.
